Sarasota and Bradenton offer a plethora of cultural activities, family festivals, and great fund raising events! Mattison's tries to participate and help out in as many ways possible, and below you will find information on events in which we participate. I hope to see you there!

American Idol Viewing Party Tonight!

What Join Antawan Smith, Sports Anchor, SNN News 6 along with David Jones & Christina Crane from 107.9 WSRZ's Morning Show at Mattison's City Grille as they emcee the evening and help us to cheer on Syesha Mercado, Sarasota's own Idol who has made it into the top nine on Fox 13's American Idol. We are all so proud of Syesha, so get down to Mattison's City Grille as we raise some enthusiasm and watch her perform! Chef Paul Mattison has created a new rum and punch drink, the Syesha Special, The Fan-Isha Appetizer Platter (jalapeño poppers, broccoli bites, spring rolls, and chicken wings) and the pizza Mercado (four cheese brick oven pizza) just for the occasion!

Maryland-style Crab Feast at Mattison's Riverside

Mattison's Riverside hosts an all new All You Can Eat Maryland-style Crab Feast with traditional Maryland steamed blue crabs, corn on the cob, steamed red potatoes, and cole slaw, $29.95 for adults, $9.95 children 12 and under on Sunday, April 13 from 2pm to sunset...or until gone! Mattison's Riverside also features pitchers of imported beer $9; peel & eat shrimp 1/2 pound $12 and a pound $24; Alaskan King crab 1/2 pound $19 and a pound $34.

Four Florida Chefs Travel to New York City

Chef Paul Mattison and Ray Arpke from Euphemia Haye, together with two chefs from the Ritz in Amelia Island were invited to travel to New York City by The Bradenton Area Convention and Visitors Bureau to help them launch a new culinary travel initiative aimed at promoting Florida's Gulf Islands to key New York area media and consumers.

At the Culinary Loft event on March 12, Chef Raymond Arpke and Chef Paul Mattison showcased the tastes of Florida's Gulf Islands as they prepare a four course dinner for approximately 30 representatives of national and New York area regional travel and culinary media outlets. The event featured an interactive demonstration and tasting with wine pairings. Chef Arpke prepared a Shrimp, Orange and Tomato Risotto, while Chef Paul Mattison served his Braised Short Ribs with Yuzu Citrus Barbecue and Dried Hibiscus Flowers. At Bloomingdale's® on March 13, Chef Paul Mattison prepared Shrimp and Meyer Lemon Risotto.
